Dear All,

We are pleased to inform you that Bangalore Chapter of IIT Delhi Alumni Associations is organizing a full day event - Entrepreneurs Forum - on 15th December, 2007 at Bangalore.

Entrepreneurs Forum event of the year 2006 was a huge success and this event is a follow-up.

Many of us want to start on our own today, given the tremendous opportunities unleashed around the globe that we can take advantage of while being in India. The stimulating business climate, technology advancement and success stories of our alumni and Indian entrepreneurs are added charms. The motivation for this event is to harness support from varied corners and build an ecosystem which caters to budding entrepreneurs throughout their ventures – inception, getting funding, and execution till exit.

Idea is to build a long sustaining forum with frequent interactions where entrepreneurs, to-be-entrepreneurs, accomplished business people and venture capitalists can come and share their ideas, experience and leverage resources with a singular focus – SUCCESS.

This event is open to all the entrepreneurs, or to-be-entrepreneurs - any IIT or IIM or even beyond. We are bringing together very successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to personally talk to you, and discuss their vision and insights about how to make successful companies in India in today's scenario. We shall conduct very focused, relevant, interactive and involved sessions and workshops concentrating on the issues that are "here and now" issues. Learning shall focus on the "The Art of Start". Of course, business networking will be an added advantage.

On behalf of Alumni Associations of IIT Delhi and on our own behalf, we are writing to cordially invite you to participate in this event.

Entry is by invitation only. We shall be catering to maximum of 100 participants for this event due to space constraints.

Registration Fee: Rs 500/-

6. Class of 1983 Reunion

Sanjay Sangal has done an excellent job in creating your very own website www.iitd83.com . Your entry no. is your user id and your hostel name is your password. Start registering .Special gifts for early registrants. Those having difficulty write to Sanjay at sanjay.sangal@microwarecorp.com .

Also, pls immediately fill up the form available at http://www.iitd83.com/downloads/IIT%20Prog_Conf_Sheet.xls and email to him.

A Silver Jubilee Reunion comes once in a lifetime, and for the batch of '83, this is the year when we will come together again. This will be the opportunity to relive the five years of our youth - our formative years - our glorious past. We will not get another chance to meet so many of our batch-mates who were once an indivisible part of our lives. We hope to meet again the many friends of yesteryears and hope to recognize them after 25 years have gone by.

As communicated earlier, the Silver Jubilee Event is being held from the 22-25 December this year, 2007. All 1983 graduates, PGs (BTech, MS, MTech, PhDs, etc) are invited along with their families.

Families are an integral part of this event - they have to see what we have been talking to them about - with their own eyes. You can get your children and spouse to walk the corridors of your hostel and meet with the profs - specially the ones from whom you once kept a long distance. You can take time out to explore the examination halls where you once spent time looking at the ceiling or sideways since the answers to confounding questions were almost always found on other people's scribble sheets. You can do almost whatever you want back at IITD

Please pull in all those with whom you are in touch, help them make up their minds. We need to make the best of this opportunity. The earlier batches enjoyed every bit of their bash and wanted more. Come and let's make this the best bash of our lives.

Most of the details have already been worked out and the program is already sent to you. However, suggestions/ ideas are welcome for any minor changes in the schedule/ events.

7. Get together of IITD 1966 & 1967 batches

X’clusive ’66 / ’67 batch (VINDYACHALs & SHIVALIKs) get together

Few of us have been meeting at the functions organized by the IITD Alumni Association, but many have not been able to join for one reason or the other and those who did desired an exclusive meet of possibly all of the 1961 & 1962 entries who formed a big joint family at Shivalik & Vindyachal and swam across the ‘nullah’ to attend classes during monsoon.

We are now planning to have a get together (with families-all generations included) exclusively of those who have lived & blossomed together at the two hostels of the period – SHIVALIK & VINDHYACHAL during the years 1961 – 1967.

We will try to locate & invite the faculty of those years. Any one in touch with them (Prof Moore, Indrasen, Jha, Gulati, Subhash etc), please inform their contact details.

As during x-mas period (25 Dec-1st Jan) most of us can travel to Delhi, the day/date proposed is Saturday 29th Dec’07.

If you are in touch with any alumnus of 66 & 67 batches. Please forward this mail (with cc to IITDAA) to inform us their contact details.

Please respond confirming your participation or offering a suggestion to

8. Pearl Jubilee Class of 1973

Dear Friends,

In our day to day work and hectic schedules, it seems many of us are unaware that it is the 35th year of passing out.

We had a good time when we celebrated the Silver Jubilee in Dec 1997. Time now for the next big bash - the Pearl Jubilee.

We need to get together 7 to 8 people who can work to organise the event and get hold of friends.

If the venue is outside IITD, any day is fine. But if we have to organise within IITD, the only suitable date seems to be 30th Dec. IITD Alumni Association told me that 22 to 25 Dec is booked for the '83 batch silver jubilee and 29th is booked for 66 / 67 batch.

If the majority of us agree for 30th Dec, let us start work quickly to get maximum attandance. IITD has been asked to reserve 30th Dec for us till we confirm or refuse.

Volunteers are welcome to join the committee to organise this event.

Let us have your comments and suggestions for the type of activities that should be included, alternate venue, sponsorships, etc.

Regards
