IDCA was started in Chicago in 2004, after a 2003 conference of 15 NGOs representing a diverse group of people and activities.

The Mission of IDCA is to Empower NPOs/NGOs and individuals to help accelerate sustainable development in India.

Its is an Illinois Not-for-profit, 501(c) (3)) Corporation. It is a membership organization of NPOs and individuals. We are working on developing 5-10 chapters around US and 5 chapters outside US and India.

Since 2003, we have organized 5 conferences in Chicago and 3 in India, one each in Delhi, Hyderabad and Jaipur. These events were well received by the NGO leaders who participated and it has helped them to build new friendships and cooperation to better do their work.

We have been organizing seminars and forums in Chicago on Water, Education, Healthcare, Livelihoods, Environment, and Governance.

We also organized meetings in New York and Washington DC. Most recently, we organized our Fourth International Conference, and International Water Summit in Chicago. These meetings were well attended by delegates from India, Canada and many parts of US. We are now developing several projects to help solve some of the pressing problems in various areas of India. We have established some contacts with NRIs in UK, Dubai, singapore, Australia, and Malasiya. We have been visiting NGOs and learning about their work and needs and sharing with the NRI community in the US and elsewhere to seek their support.

In India we have organized meetings of several NGOs IIT-Delhi with cooperation of the Faculty of the Center for Rural Development and Technology. In our Delhi conference in 2004, we had the pleasure of inviting Professor Indiresan, who shared his ideas about the concept of Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Area (PURA) project. Following this we organized a Learning Journey to visit NGOs in Haryana and Rajasthan, and Madhay Pradesh. We have several IIT alumnae also working with us.

Personally, I have been supporting, Shikshantar Andolan ( www.swaraj.org/shikshantar) , an Education and Development Think Tank, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Its Mission is to Rethink and Transform Education and Developmet for the good of the masses. It was started by our son Manish Jain (Ed. M., Harvard 94') and his wife Vidhi in 1998, barely a year after their wedding in India. Our daughter Shilpa Jain (A. B. Harvard, 98') joined them in 1999. It is funded by The Swaraj Foundation, a US based 501(c)(3) Not for profit Corporation also founded in 1998 in Illinois. You will be happy to know that Shikshantar is supporting organic farming. They have published a small booklet in Mewari, "Jaso Anna Vaso Manna" to promote organic farming. They have publis hed extensively in Hindi and English, and most publications can be downloaded for free from their website.

We hope you will join us, and also inform and inspire your members/colleagues/friends.

Please rush your registration.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

With best regards,

Sincerely,

Intensive Self Encounter Technology

Energize! Elevate! Express! Expand

Introduction to “Intensive Self Encounter Technology

Everyday we encounter the outside world and each encounter either enriches our life or takes away a part of it. We have walked this familiar, visible path carrying the accumulated baggage of perceptions, convictions, discomfort, and doubt throughout the journey.

Intensive Self Encounter is the path of joy and happiness through process of learning AND unlearning. All that is needed is to train ourselves to operate consistently from our original nature, which is natural happy state with immense opportunities for creativity, inspiring relationships, productive teaming, and unlimited growth.

The Intensive Self Encounter is a 2-Day workshop where participants lay the foundation for a simple, powerful and integrated life. They gain clarity about how to transcend limitations, live and work in joy and create a purposeful future.

The complete curriculum is available as an ongoing community program. It is meant for people who want to cause fulsome transformation – of themselves, their families and the community they live in.

UNLEARN what you have been told to change about yourself, and experiment with the wisdom of life

Instead of working to overcome your weaknesses, UNLEASH the blocked strengths within - Khilna

Instead of converting negative thoughts to positive thoughts, UNRAVEL the freshness of inspiration - Khulna

Instead of moving between effectiveness and efficiency, UNLOCK the genius of creativity - Khelna

Methodology

The workshop follows a three-step methodology:

Instruction : Lectures, videostapes, etc.

Interaction : Q&A, Challenging participants

Intervention : Exercises, Personal feedback

Workshop designed and delivered by Tej Gyan Foundation in association with IITD

4. Invitation - DMS (Parivartan - management festival)

Dear All,

We invite you to Parivartan'07,the managemenmt festival of Department of Management Studies,IIT Delhi.

Parivartan 2007:Ignite Innovate Transcend

It's a long cherished dream of every Management Student to make a difference to the corporate world; to venture out there into the big, bad, mean world of corporate competition and leave upon it a mark of his/her own. We all have ideas, we all have thoughts, but there is a fine line of daring to dream between a normal Management Student and the winner who eventually makes the world stand up and take notice of him/her. That is what winners are made of…

And we, at Department of Management Studies, IIT-Delhi, are in the business of grooming winners. We are in the business of instilling the attitude to win in each cell of the brain of each of us. We know what it takes to win and we want to nurture it in all of us and spread it across the world!

We need to ignite our thoughts into ideas. Everyone thinks, but not everyone takes them seriously. We often lack the confidence to take them seriously! That's what differs a prodigy from a plebeian. That's not all. Not every one who has an idea converts it into a process. Managers today are defined by the efficiency of their processes. What has Jack Welch done to GE which the other didn't? The answer is all in the processes, and efficient and successful processes emerge from Innovation. Every innovator doesn't turn a leader. Atom Bomb was an innovation, too! Every coin has two sides. One can turn his face off at your innovation or can stand up and take note of it. That's what is differentiates a Leader and a Follower. You need to foster the right innovations to transcend the hoi polloi and emerge a winner, a true leader, a complete person!

At DMS, we present you this process of emergence of a Complete Person of an aspiring Manager in two days through our annual Business Festival Parivartan on the 3rd and 4th of February, 2007. Parivartan 07 comes to you with the theme Ignite. Innovate. Transcend. We present you events that ignite your brains and plough up creative ideas, innovate them into efficient processes and thus, transcend the natural. Unleash the super power of Management in each one of you…

Ignite ideas in your brains with events like The Business Plan where we provide you a platform to present your plans for all types of Business, Best Consultant where you consult for real-time industry cases and see your ideas being given a shape, The Business Quiz. Innovate the existing process, add them your mark and value in events like The Apprentice where the rule is that there is no rule. How to make things work is all up to you. You are the master. ADD-vert is an event where the only rule is Innovation. Innovate or disappear is the only rule of the game. Make innovative ad campaigns and project your brand. Transcend your own self in the company of highly knowledgeable corporates and academia as they brood over the contemporary Managerial issues in Corporate Round Table. Realize how effective and important Media is and how to use it to Managerial success at the Media Conclave.

There's more to Parivartan! Many more events like Informals, Cultural Night, Dance Night are lined up to grab your attention and teach you how a Manager should chill out… Come to Parivartan, Unleash the fun….

Regards
Team Parivartan'07
